I told my kids I was making them a special Cinco de Mayo dessert. But I didn’t get to it – woops! But… I had the ingredients and the time (this is easy and FAST!) to whip up this tasty drink which they truly enjoyed! It paired perfectly with our Mexican themed dinner – homemade rice & bean burritos (with guac, of course!).
Agua Fresca (Spanish for Fresh Water) is a Mexican fruit-based drink, perfect for beating the heat. Traditional agua frescas usually adds sugar, but I find that totally unnecessary for this naturally sweet version.
In case you didn’t know, most women are chronically dehydrated so this drink is perfect, not just for summer but for your body! This refreshing drink is super hydrating, contains potassium, magnesium and Vitamins C & A, and is so easy to make! Feel free to double or triple the recipe!
