First of all, sorry for the interruption in my usual posting schedule. I’ve alluded to it in past newsletters, but if you’ve been following me on Instagram, you know some of the reasons.
As I mentioned, we moved the whole family cross-country with about 2 weeks notice, bought our first house, and started at new schools, new job (for my husband) & in a new community.
We also had some bumps in the road, to put it mildly!
First was my 5 year old’s broken arm & hospital stay. Recently she had her 2nd surgery to remove the rod from her arm. Her arm is finally all healed! (Stay tuned for a future blog post on how I helped her heal & detox from the 2 surgeries & anesthesia, antibiotics, x-rays, etc., AND get the cast off & rod removed earlier than the doctor predicted!) In the meantime, here’s a little teaser via IG on one of the many holistic methods we used:

In this video, I’m using red light therapy to help heal her arm, post-surgery.
Red light:
- helps wound healing
- improves scars
- decreases inflammation
- helps pain relief
All in a way that’s natural, non-invasive and without harmful side effects! There are a few brands of therapeutic red lights out there, but my favorite is Therasage. Their Tri-Light panels are effective, but also safe enough to use on something as sensitive as my daughter’s injured arm! (This is the same brand that made my infrared sauna. I love that it’s portable, super low in EMF radiation and works great!) If you want to try one for yourself, I also have a discount code to share with you: ABBYPHON
Then in January, my son was in a horrible accident and spent over 2 weeks in the ICU. He is doing much better now, but still on a year long recovery. I will share more about his healing journey, and how the doctors are very happy with his progress, soon! I’ve already shared some on Instagram about what I did in the ICU for him (and how I got the chance to share new things with both the doctors and nurses. Like this!)

And there have been good disruptions too!
This month, my oldest daughter turned 9 years old, with a (vegan & gluten free) tie-dye party! Every day she defies the doctors’ prognosis. We are so grateful and so blessed every day she is here with us, but it hasn’t been completely by chance or luck. I have shared over the years what I have done to help in her health and wellness as well.
Needless to say, all this has disrupted my schedule. BUT… how does this all relate to YOU?
Well, these are all great examples of taking over your OWN health and wellness. There are doctors, therapists, nurses and even health coaches (like me!) to help you along the way, but YOU have the power to help heal yourself! We often give SO much credit and ALL the power to doctors but it’s YOU who’s doing the actual healing!
I invite you to follow me on Instagram, where I share what I do each day to help heal my family and myself and to have a happy & healthy life.
It starts with small changes. Nothing big or overwhelming. An extra glass of water each day, greens on your plate at every meal, going for a walk a few times a week, going to sleep 30 minutes earlier, meditating for 5 minutes every morning, swapping out your soap & beauty products for non-toxic versions when you run out next time, buying organic & local produce whenever possible… When you know better, you do better. But just starting with something DOES make a difference!
When you are ready, and only you knows when that time is, there are many ways to make even more of an investment in your health for the long term. An infrared sauna, red light panels, essential oils, organic healing teas, superfood powders, etc. are all ways to naturally support your body’s innate ability to heal & thrive.
YOU CAN DO IT!
And today is a great day to start.
