Looking for a fun summer activity with the kids (that’s yummy too!)? 🙂
If you’re like me… you are looking for activities for the kiddos to do this summer. My kids are young, so I have to do the activities WITH them. That means I want it to be something fun for me, too!

Here’s a great one for the entire family to enjoy adapted from @healthylittlepeach. It’s a fun treat that won’t spike their blood sugar and make them all crazy: HEALTHY SOUR PATCH GRAPES!
I’ve been freezing organic green grapes as a fun and healthy summer treat for YEARS now (ok, decades!). But this version is not only a great treat, it’s also super fun for my 6 and 3 year old to make WITH me!
My husband also loved it. Sour Patch Kids were his favorite candy growing up. When we first started dating and going to the movies he would get it at the concession stand. (I personally didn’t like them – I like sweet, not sour.) He hasn’t had them for years now, though. Apparently, one of the side effects of marrying a health coach is losing your taste for artificial candy that only harms you, since he now prefers food with benefits! (I taught him well!). 🙂

This recipe is just my style: only THREE ingredients! Fast, easy, healthy, yummy, vegan and naturally sweetened… fits ALL my criteria! (It also happens to be kosher, pareve, gluten free, paleo & macro friendly, too! Need I go on?)
I have been on a huge monk fruit sugar kick recently. There is no after taste, like stevia, and it’s been agreeing with my body. I love it in my dalgona matcha lattes, our @eatjust french toast, my husband’s mushroom coffee, and now this! 🙂
Monk fruit is a natural zero-calorie sweetener that has the added benefit of being antiinflammatory. It’s sugar-free so safe for diabetics, and can aid in weight loss. Way better than corn syrup candy or even natural cane sugar!

And just as an aside, it’s super important to use ORGANIC green grapes, since it’s one of the ‘dirty dozen’. If we can’t find organic grapes, we just don’t have them. (Although you could use an ACV bath, which we do for produce anyway, I still prefer to support organic farmers and personally feel safer eating organic produce.) But sometimes I go crazy when I see organic grapes, since we don’t always, and I buy way too much. This recipe comes in handy. Eat some and FREEZE some! 🙂 Besides this treat, frozen grapes in smoothies ROCK! I also love putting frozen green grapes in my matcha lattes in the summer for added natural sweetness!
