I love fall and I love pumpkin. So once the cooler temps hit and those colorful orange veggies start popping up everywhere, my morning smoothie routine shifts and my pumpkin pie smoothie is added into the rotation. This smoothie is high in fiber, low in fat and only sweetened with natural sugars!
I do usually add nuts (like cashews) or vegan vanilla protein powder plus some sort of green (fresh kale or spinach or a green powder). But that’s the beauty of smoothies; you can change them up all the time and add whatever you like!
Pumpkin is high in beta carotene for your eyes, and a great source of fiber which keeps you full longer and aids in weight loss. It also boosts immunity, is great for the skin, reduces cancer risk and lowers cholesterol! What’s not to love?
