Happy December!
I know I’m a bit late for Hanukkah (sorry!), but really, healthy gifts are welcome any time! 🙂
Are you looking for healthy gifts for friends or family that will show them you care about them AND their health, well-being, the environment and more? You’re in luck! Here’s my pick of gifts for everyone on your list, that you can feel EXTRA good about giving!
I also wanted to share some great tips to keep in mind this holiday season!
However, if you prefer to buy something, I hope you will choose something eco-friendly and/or organic when applicable. I hope these tips and this gift list is helpful!
Please let me know what you think below and… HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

4 Tips for Eco-Conscious Gift Giving
- Re-use wrapping
I always save bows and bags in good condition (and sometimes even wrapping paper or tissue paper). There is so much waste in the world already, every little bit helps! - Share Experiences
Everyone has so much STUFF these days. How about sharing in an experience together instead? I love taking friends out for tea or a cocktail, or my parents to the theater or a concert as a gift. My husband and I always do something together like a nice dinner or take a family trip! - DIY FTW
Home made gifts are always a big hit and hopefully it’s something you know they will enjoy or use so you are just not adding to the landfill. Many years I have made bath salts, or brownies and truffles. - Sometimes it’s just the thought that counts
Speaking of just adding to the landfill, another great idea is not exchanging gifts at all! A donation in their honor is a triple-win: you feel good giving a gift, the recipient knows you thought of them, and the charity gets your support to help make a difference!
Still want some gift ideas? Here are some things I’ve tried and love!
Becoming – Michele Obama
I just got 2 copies of Becoming – one to share, of course! I haven’t read it yet, but I’ve always loved her humanity and spirit in interviews and columns I’ve seen. I can’t wait to cozy up on the couch with a cup of hot tea and dig in! (ok, who are we kidding… it will be a coffee book for me for a while and that tea will get cold, but ONE day I will open this book and read it cover to cover!) 🙂
Rothy’s Shoes
Made out of recycled fibers, Rothy’s are the most eco-friendly shoe on the market. And they are SO comfy! (most shoes actually hurt but feet, but not these!). Super cute too! 🙂 I always get compliments when I wear them!

Savvy Minerals
Savvy Minerals Make Up is non-toxic, plant based and looks great! See my video about this line here!
My personal favorite is the lip gloss – it looks great, lasts well and I was pleasantly surprised at the fresh peppermint essential oil it’s infused with the minute I put it on!
(The foundation powder also takes the shine away without looking cakey or too much coverage. Definitely recommended!)
Essential Oils
Essential oils are my go-to secret weapon for whatever ails me AND to keep the family healthy and happy through the cold winter months.
e.g. Back Issues? Cool Azul, PanAway and helichrysum are all great for an aching back! At least, that’s what I’ve been using lately to get some relief from lower back pain and it’s helped!
Diffuser
Cool mist diffusers are a must!
Not only do they help humidify dry winter air, they also are one of the most effective ways to deliver the amazing benefits of your favorite essential oils!
Two of my faves: Young Living‘s Dewdrop diffuser and Desert Mist diffuser. The dewdrop is basic but great. For a little more ‘color’ or holiday festiveness.. go with the Desert Mist which changes colors! My girls LOVE it!
Instant Pot
I love my Instant Pot! For soups, my vegan broth, mushroom stroganoff, vegan bolognese, african peanut stew, apple sauce, and more, it’s one kitchen gadget I actually USE!
Metal Straws
I first started using metal (and glass) straws about 6 years ago. Never stopped. After a few years I broke all my glass straws so now I just use metal. 🙂

Matcha
You know I love my matcha, but did you know it’s also one of the healthiest ways to enjoy tea? Because it’s made from ground leaves not just steeping, there are 100x more antioxidants, chlorophyll and other beneficial compounds when compared to regular tea!
So why not give a fun Matcha gift set for that tea lover in your life?
